Barbara is survived by sister, Kate (Jerry) Sherman of Burton, MI son, Gary (Alice) McLean of Fairbanks, Alaska daughter, Carol (Orlando) Lee of Pomona, CA daughter, Theresa (Otto) McLean of Eagle River, AK 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.īarbara moved from Onaway to the Detroit area in 1951 with her sister Kate where she worked in banking with National Bank of Detroit while attending night school at Detroit Business Institute. Preceded in death by beloved husbands, Leo McLean and Jack Oard daughter, Kathleen McLean son, Roger McLean sister, Betty Newhouse brothers, Harold Smith, Stanley Smith, Wayne Smith, Ronald Smith, and Clifford Smith. Barbara was the 4th of eight children born to Margaret (Reba) and Daniel Smith on May 24, 1933, in Onaway, MI. BARBARA MAE (SMITH-MCLEAN) OARD Entered eternity on November 8, 2023, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
